On June 23, the reporter learned from the Propaganda Department of the Wuxi County Party Committee that a landslide occurred in Zhongba Village, Bailu Town, Wuxi County at around 13:00 that day. According to preliminary statistics, 5 people lost contact.
It is understood that from 20:00 on June 22 to 17:00 on the 23rd, the rainfall in Zhongba Village, Bailu Town, Wuxi County reached 60 mm (heavy rain level), and the maximum hourly rainfall reached 19.2 mm.
After the disaster, the principals of the local county party committee and government rushed to the scene to direct disaster relief.
According to the dispatch of Chongqing Emergency Management Bureau, China Eneng Chongqing Rescue Base quickly recruited more than 90 rescue members from three directions: Banan detachment, Wanzhou detachment, and Qianjiang backup detachment, and more than 40 life detectors, excavators, cranes and other equipment. Sets, rushed to the disaster area to carry out rescue.
At present, search and rescue work is in progress.
