The TF1 group gave a long press conference on Thursday to announce the new features that will be offered to viewers during the media season next September.

TF1 will focus more than ever on French fiction, while developing an independent offer for its MyTF1 streaming platform.

Lots of new stuff for the fall.

TF1 announced many changes for its antennas from next September, during a press conference held on Thursday.

In particular, the TV group will continue to develop its fiction offering.

Like last year, TF1 will rely heavily on French series and TV movies, to the detriment of American series.

With a marked preference for original and ambitious creations.

The most striking example of the start of the school year will be

Les combatantes, a

(very) big budget historical series on the First World War.

TF1 is also announcing other fictions:

Syndrome E

, the adaptation of a novel by Franck Thilliez with Vincent Elbaz, who is making a comeback on television, and Emmanuelle Béart, who is playing for the first time in a series.

But also the first production of Alexandra Lamy, who adapted Quentin Zuttion's Touchées comic book into a TV movie

,

as well as the first series written and interpreted by Kev Adams, entitled

@ come

.

TF1 fiction, "beyond the ambitions of many cinema films"

In all, TF1 announces about twenty new fictions, including international co-productions and fictions around social issues: disability, sexual violence, news item (the Daval affair, in particular).

Many actors and actresses of cinema will rub shoulders for the first time on television.

The boundary between these two worlds, once very marked, is becoming increasingly blurred.

"They find on television and in the series roles that they do not have the opportunity to find in the cinema", confirms to our microphone Fabrice Bailly, director of programs and acquisitions of the TF1 group.

"We are, on TV, in a very different exercise, since we follow the characters for several hours, so the actors have the possibility of entering into their role in a very deep way. Each time they have a television experience , they keep coming back to it, because it's something quite unique."

"Today, television is very ambitious. The budget for Les

Combattantes

is 20 million euros. This is the largest budget for a French fiction to date", he observes.

"We are beyond the ambitions of many cinema films."

"Koh Lanta", "The Voice", "Mask Singer"...

On the entertainment side, the front page will bet on its big brands with the return of many big shows:

Koh Lanta

,

The Voice

,

Mask Singer

,

Dance with the stars

... TF1 also confirms the name of the one who will replace Alessandra Sublet, at alongside Nicolas Canteloup: Hélène Mannarino.

The journalist therefore leaves the LCI morning show, but will continue

Emergency calls

.

She will also work on other projects for TF1.

Many comedy shows will also be offered on the group's channels.

And in particular the only one on stage by Fabrice Luchini, who accepted for the first time that one of his shows be filmed and broadcast on television.

Exclusive programs on MyTF1

The channel will finally rely heavily on its MyTF1 platform.

It enriches its catalog with 200 series available in full, in addition to those in replay, and 100 films.

MyTF1 will offer one original reality TV production per month, which will be available exclusively (and free of charge) on this platform.

Other programs exclusive to MyTF1 will complement those on the air.

For the return of

Star Academy

, it will be possible to permanently follow what the candidates are doing.

For

Dancing with the Stars

, the platform will launch

Qui va danser avec les stars

, a program to recruit one of the show's dancers who will not be broadcast on television.

A way to target young people more, a very important target for TF1, as the group repeated during its press conference.
