"Encounter Mesopotamia-Syrian Ancient Cultural Relics Exhibition" will be officially opened to the public on June 25 at the National Book Museum in Beijing.

On June 24, the reporter visited the museum in advance.

  The exhibition is rich in content. It is divided into five units: "Dawn", "Reform", "Hegemony", "Fusion" and "Dialogue". It spans the Stone Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age, as well as the Greek, Roman and Islamic ages in Syria. It has a cultural landscape of 500,000 years and a magnificent historical picture.

  The exhibition brings together 196 pieces/groups of exquisite cultural relics from 9 Syrian museums including Damascus National Museum and Aleppo Museum and 3 domestic museums. The audience can see statues of worshippers from Syria, Assyrian murals, lapis lazuli necklaces, Clay tablets inscribed with cuneiform, Sphinx carvings and other cultural relics.

  It is reported that this exhibition in Beijing is the third stop of the exhibition of ancient Syrian cultural relics in China. It has been successfully exhibited in Shenzhen and Chengdu before.

The exhibition will be on view until October 8, 2022.
