Olympic Day is celebrated every year around the world on June 23.

But this year, two years from the Paris Olympics, Seine-Saint-Denis has decided to organize it over two days, next Saturday and Sunday, so that as many people as possible can participate, reports BFM TV.

On the 30,000 m² invested for this day around the Stade de France, participants will be able to play rugby, try judo, discover new Olympic sports such as breakdance, or even test Paralympic sports such as wheelchair fencing.

“A spectacular playground”

For the occasion, a hundred athletes will be present, like Romain Cannone, Olympic fencing champion at the Tokyo Olympics, or even Camille Lacourt, five-time world swimming champion.

"A spectacular open-air playground, to learn, practice, admire and meet great champions" announced the department of Seine-Saint-Denis.

In order to facilitate travel, river shuttles, free and by reservation, will be set up and will connect Noisy-le-Sec, Bobigny and Pantin to the Bassin de la Villette.
