The Saudi security services revealed the details of the arrest of a person of Egyptian nationality who committed criminal offenses related to “advertising and marketing” fake Hajj trips.
The Research and Investigation Department of the Riyadh Police was able to seize an unlicensed website run by the man who was proven to be involved in promoting fake Hajj trips and receiving sums of money from his victims, according to the Saudi Public Security account on Twitter.
The Public Security account documented the campaign of arresting the accused, who was known in the media as “the quorum of Hajj”, where a Saudi security personnel contacted him by phone, before he was located, raided and arrested. One thousand and 650 Saudi riyals.
The Public Security account indicated that the accused was arrested, that legal measures were taken against him, and that he was referred to the Public Prosecution.
The Saudi security page published a video clip of the moment the accused was lured by a phone call, and then caught red-handed.
