On the 21st, the "Sleek and Ancient Style - The Exhibition of Ancient Paintings Donated by Deng Tuo", which was carefully planned and hosted by the National Art Museum of China, will meet the audience on the 21st.

This exhibition is part of the National Art Museum of China's "Revitalization of Collections" series of exhibitions, presenting more than 70 pieces (sets) of fine art donated by Deng Tuo, including masterpieces by Tang Yin, Zheng Xie, Zhu Da and other literati.

  In 1964, Deng Tuo wrote the poem "Jun loves civilization, not love treasure, as the owner is not a slave", and donated more than 140 pieces (sets) of ancient paintings collected by him to the country for free, which were permanently collected by the National Art Museum of China. These works are from the Song and Yuan Dynasties to the late Qing Dynasty.

In 2012, on the occasion of Deng Tuo's 100th birthday, after the works were fully restored by the National Art Museum of China, the "Special Exhibition of Deng Tuo's Donated Ancient Chinese Paintings" was specially held. spread and popularize the spiritual concept.

Since then, relying on the National Art Museum of China's "Collection Revitalization" exhibition series, its fine products have appeared in various exhibitions more than ten times, allowing more audiences to appreciate these art treasures and share a cultural feast.

  Wu Weishan, member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, director of the National Art Museum of China, and vice chairman of the China Artists Association, believes that Deng Tuo's collection embodies two characteristics: one is historical.

The works span nearly 1,000 years and basically cover important schools and painters in the history of Chinese painting; the second is cultural.

From Su Dongpo, an advocate of literati painting, to the "Four Schools of Yuan", "Wumen Group", "Yangzhou School of Painting" and other groups, the diverse changes constitute a main line of literati painting.

Since Deng Tuo's donation, the National Art Museum of China has made these ancient painting treasures play a huge cultural value.

  This year marks the 110th anniversary of Deng Tuo's birth. The National Art Museum of China has deeply excavated the imagery of "bamboo and stone" in this batch of donated works. The large plate shows the artistic characteristics and inner spirit of traditional Chinese flower and bird paintings and landscape paintings.

For the first time, precious photos, documents, books, etc. provided by Deng Tuo's family were exhibited, showing Deng Tuo's elegant style.

In addition, the exhibition also reproduces the preservation, research and publicity of the donated works by the National Art Museum of China over the years in the form of images.

  The exhibition is presented in Halls 19 and 21 on the fifth floor of the National Art Museum of China, and will last until July 14.
