From the first day of the rainy season, it rained loudly.

By 4 PM, it had rained 103mm in Ganghwa-do, Incheon, 78mm in Paju, Gyeonggi-do, and 21mm in Seoul.

The rainy season usually starts on June 23 in the southern region and on June 25 in the central region, but the rainy season in the central region this year is two days earlier than usual.

Currently, the rainy season front is sprinkling a lot of rain mainly in the central region.

As the rainy season front gradually expands to the south, 30 to 100 mm of rain is expected in most areas of the country, including the metropolitan area, and 10 to 60 mm in Yeongdong, Gangwon and southern Gyeongbuk.

Locally, more than 150 mm of rain is expected in Jeonnam and Jeju Island, and more than 120 mm in Jeollabuk-do.

The metropolitan area and Yeongseo are expected to rain until tonight, and in Chungcheong and southern regions from tonight to tomorrow morning, heavy rain is expected.

Accordingly, the heavy rain advisory issued in the metropolitan area, Gangwon, and Chungnam will be gradually expanded to the Chungnam and Honam regions.

It can rain 30-50mm per hour accompanied by gusts of wind and lightning.

Most of the rain in the central region will stop tomorrow morning, and the rain will continue until Saturday in the southern coast and until Sunday in Jeju Island.

Outside of Jeju Island, hot and humid weather is expected on the weekend, free from the influence of the rainy season.
