The producers of the film decided to send part of the proceeds from the film to support the participants in the special military operation in Ukraine.
The film was re-released with the assistance of the Military Patriotic Cinema Support Fund.
The plot of the film is focused around the feat of the Russian pilot Oleg Peshkov in Syria and the operation to rescue Su-24 navigator Konstantin Murakhtin in November 2015.
The plane was shot down by a Turkish fighter, but the pilots managed to eject.
One of them escaped, and the second was shot by terrorists.
Oleg Peshkov was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Russia.
