Batches of Pokémon cards were all sold during an auction organized this Tuesday at the Seine auction house in Rouen (Seine-Maritime).

The articles flew to more than 2,000 euros, reports

before the sale, the auctioneer Me Guillaume Cheroyan explained that he expected a lot from this event, while the craze for small Japanese creatures has experienced a resurgence in recent months.

And, for a first in the Normandy region, it is a success.

In detail, relayed by

76 Actu,

58 cards from the Fossil series were purchased for 2,200 euros, 77 cards from the Team Rocket series for 2,300 euros, 62 cards from the Jungle set for 2,300 euros also and 81 cards from the basic set for 2,100 euro.

A record at more than 380,000 euros

Amounts that are still very far from the record recorded last March: a Charizard card dating from 1999 was sold for 420,000 dollars, or 383,000 euros, at an auction.

In perfect condition and therefore qualified as "Mint 10", this card called "1999 Pokemon Shadowless 1st Edition Holo Charizard" is extremely rare.
