Video footage taken by a surveillance camera close to the scene of the murder of Naira Ashraf, a student in Mansoura, showed the details of the heinous crime that shook Egyptian public opinion, in which the Public Prosecutor decided to refer the accused, Mohamed Adel, the perpetrator of the crime, to the urgent criminal trial, and set a session next Sunday to start the trial sessions.

And the footage, which Emirates Today reserves to publish because of its ugliness, recorded a new angle that revealed the full details of the crime and the number of stabs that the accused, Muhammad Adel, inflicted on the student Naira Ashraf and then slaughtering her, and the fear of a number of passers-by while committing the crime, and their failure to intervene to prevent the crime.

The footage also showed that the accused had stabbed the victim several times, and had slain her twice.

The Public Prosecution, in the incident of the killing of Mansoura student Naira Ashraf, heard 25 witnesses, including students, university security personnel and shop workers in the vicinity of the incident.

In the investigations, eyewitnesses confirmed seeing the accused during the commission of the crime, led by the female colleagues of the victim who were with her when the accused surprised her, and others who threatened them when they tried to defend her during his assault, as well as the victim’s family and friends who confirmed the habitual exposure of the accused and threatening her with harm for her refusal to associate with him. After he proposed to her, and he tried more than once to force her to do so, which led them to write several records against him.

In the investigations of the Public Prosecution, the witnesses indicated that the accused, days before the incident, sought to communicate with the victim to find out the timing of the bus she used to ride to the university, and she refused to answer him, all confirming the accused’s determination to kill the victim.
