In Suooshima Town, Yamaguchi Prefecture, which promotes the town as "Hawaii in Setouchi," the annual "Aloha Biz", in which town officials wear aloha shirts and work, began on the 22nd.

Suooshima Town, which faces the Seto Inland Sea, has about 3,900 inhabitants who emigrated to Hawaii during the Meiji era, and about 60 years ago, it formed a sister affiliation with Kauai Island in Hawaii and continues to interact with it.

As part of this, we have been holding "Aloha Biz" instead of "Cool Biz" every year since late June, and staff members dressed in Hawaiian shirts at the town hall and post office.

Of these, 220 staff members at the town hall wore Hawaiian shirts with hibiscus flowers and pineapples drawn on colorful fabrics for office work and meetings.

In addition to this, aloha biz is also held in banks and shopping districts in the town, and until the end of August, the town will be promoted by wearing an aloha shirt.

Shinji Morimoto, Group Leader of the Suooshima Town Policy Planning Division, said, "Aloha has the meaning of" hospitality, "so we would like to provide hospitality to people who bring aloha spirits throughout the town."
