  According to the Pearl River Commission, the heavy rainfall for several days caused the water level of Wuzhou Station, the main stream of the Xijiang River, to rise to 20.95 meters at 8:00 on the 19th, exceeding the warning water level by 2.45 meters. The flood numbering standards of the Ministry of Finance's "Regulations on Flood Numbering of Major Rivers in China" are numbered as "Xijiang Flood No. 4 in 2022" and "Beijiang Flood No. 2 in 2022", and they have once again developed into large watershed floods.

  The Pearl River Commission predicts that in the next three days, the heavy rainfall process in the basin will continue, and the water levels of major rivers will continue to rise or maintain high water levels.

  In the past few days, the Pearl River Commission has closely monitored the rain conditions, water conditions, flood conditions, and industrial conditions in the basin in accordance with the deployment requirements of the Ministry of Water Resources. Guangxi Water Resources Department, China Southern Power Grid, Guangxi Power Grid and other departments finely dispatched 24 reservoirs in the main and tributaries of the Xijiang River, including the Longtan and Yantan of the Hongshui River, Baise of the Yujiang River, Xijin, Luojiu of the Liujiang River, Qingshitan of the Guijiang River, etc. Reservoir scheduling within the jurisdiction gives full play to the role of reservoir groups in the basin to block floods, cut peaks and shift peaks.
