Informed of a “large gathering of speed and thrill seekers” which was to be held on Friday evening in the Porte des Alpes shopping area in Bron (Rhône), and during which the participants “were to challenge each other on the bitumen", the police and the CRS jointly carried out a vast road control operation.

This large-scale action, which aimed to prevent any risk of urban rodeo, proved successful.

A total of 270 tickets were issued, half of them for speeding.

Two “big cylinder” type vehicles were seized and impounded.

“This marked a halt to the demonstration since the participants, discouraged, left the mobilization”, indicates the Sûreté du Rhône welcoming the results.
