Archaeological discoveries trace the history of human activities in this area to 5,000 years ago, and the Bronze Age extended to the late Shang Dynasty. It is praised by the archaeological community as another "Bronze Kingdom" in Sichuan after Sanxingdui and Jinsha sites.

  The Laolongtou cemetery covers an area of ​​12,211 square meters. So far, more than 5,000 pieces (sets) of various cultural relics, mainly bronze ware and pottery, have been unearthed, including bronze branch-shaped vessels and case-shaped vessels with unique shapes and diverse themes, and stem-shaped cane heads. and other unique items.

  The Laolongtou cemetery completely constructs the chronological framework of the Bronze Age from the late Shang Dynasty to the Western Han Dynasty in the Yanyuan Basin. It is the Bronze Age cemetery with the longest duration in the southwest region discovered so far. Ruler and frame of reference.
