America's most prestigious universities compete for an outstanding high school student

A high school student in the US state of Alabama won acceptance from 15 prestigious universities and educational institutions, including Harvard, Stanford and Johns Hopkins, in a manner similar to competing for it, and presented him with two million dollars in scholarships.

Rotimi Kokoi chose North Carolina State University at Chapel Hill to study health administration and policy, after receiving the prestigious "Moorhead Cain" scholarship.

"Through this grant, I can choose the path that no one has taken, and determine my own journey," Kokoi said.

I hope to lay the foundations for a professional path that leads towards more equity and development for the health sector in our country.”

“My appearance on Jeopardy in 2018 was an inspiration to me after I met outstanding students from all over the United States,” Kokoi said.

"As a child of immigrants who came to the United States to secure a better future for themselves and their children through the American education system, I always aspired to graduate from high school," Kokoi wrote on his Instagram page.

He added: “The past 13 years of hard work have paid off, and I am optimistic about what lies ahead.

I am grateful to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey, and I am excited to watch my friends continue their success.”

Regarding his choice of university, Kokoi said: “It was one of the hardest things I've ever done.

I thought about Harvard and Yale, but I finally chose to pursue a career in health.”
