It was revealed that Abu Town, Yamaguchi Prefecture, mistakenly transferred a benefit of 46.3 million yen to one inhabitant, and the town legally secured about 3.4 million yen, which had not been collected so far.

If the procedure goes on, the town will collect the full amount of the benefits that were mistakenly transferred.

This was revealed at a press conference by Osamu Nakayama, a lawyer who represents Abu Town on the 20th.

Until now, the town had seized the accounts of three payment agents that the residents had repeatedly withdrawn and collected more than 42.9 million yen, but the new residents used about 3.4 million for "debit payment". It means that the yen was legally secured.

Attorney Nakayama has not disclosed the details of the securing, but if the procedure proceeds, Abu Town will collect the full amount of the benefits that were mistakenly transferred.
