After a very hot week and a scorching weekend, the sky will return to normal for the season.

The weather on Monday will be marked by the gradual end of the heat wave after sometimes violent thunderstorms and strong gusts of wind, according to Météo-France forecasts.

From the Massif Central to the Alps and Jura, to the Mediterranean and Corsica, the sky will be clear, the weather summery.

On the South-West, maritime entries of low clouds will cover the sky at daybreak, with a few drops on the Pyrenean foothills, then the sun will impose itself during the morning.

Note some stormy impacts on the Pyrenees in the afternoon.

Storm, rain, thinning: variable weather in France

On the North-East, after a temporarily stormy night, some showers will persist in the early morning, then cloud thinnings will develop.

On the other hand, in Hauts-de-France in the morning, then Normandy, Ile-de-France and Champagne-Ardenne in the afternoon, the weather will be calm and sunny, in a slightly cooler atmosphere.

On the Atlantic coast, a new stormy wave will tumble in the early evening.

These storms will shift over the northwestern quarter of the country overnight, gradually easing.

The very high temperatures of the last few days will ease, except in Lyonnais.

The southerly wind will continue and blow moderately, as will the southerly wind in the Rhône valley.
