The Mufti of Oman says that the Ibadhi sect does not agree with the Kharijites, but rather that they disavowed them, and see them as a rogue group, explaining that the two parties agree on the issue of the permissibility of revolting against the ruler if he does not rule by the law of God, and the Ibadi sect agrees with the Zaydis in many matters and the points of contention between them are few As confirmed.

Regarding the opinion of the Mufti of Oman on democracy, Al-Khalili stressed that democracy is not compatible in all its matters with the Islamic religion, especially legislative matters, and the provisions of the Islamic religion must be separated from the martial laws that are legislated in many countries in the form of laws.

He added that the shura is important in order to implement what is stipulated by the Sharia, and to research what is not stipulated by the Sharia, stressing that the Sharia is not taken into account by democracy and does not waive legal matters for the sake of democracy.

His position on normalization

And about the normalization of some Arab countries’ relations with the Israeli occupation and the visit of former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the Sultanate, the Mufti of Oman said that he expressed his reservations about the visit, which he described as political, stressing that he is against any compromise on the Palestinian cause, and that normalization will not provide anything, and at the end Eventually the case will be victorious with or without the printers.

Regarding the Taliban’s control of Afghanistan after the American withdrawal, Ahmad Al-Khalili described the matter as a clear conquest of the Islamic Taliban movement, and that the American rock was broken before the faith of the Mujahideen, and that the secret lies in the Taliban’s combination of faith and strength.

He added that he supports any matter that raises the status of Islam anywhere in the world, including converting the "Hagia Sophia" in Turkey from a church to a mosque, saluting Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his positions that support Islam.

Al-Khalili concluded his speech with a message he addressed to Muslims with a commitment to piety because it is the key to relief for Muslims, according to what he said, revealing that he is currently working on the interpretation of the Qur’an, and that he is trying to complete it as soon as possible.
