Last April, at a pig farm in Nasushiobara City, Tochigi Prefecture, there was an accident in which an injection needle containing a drug stuck in the leg of a prefectural employee who was slaughtering a pig, and the police worked with the prefectural employee and took charge of the injection. The policy is to send documents to the veterinarian who was on the suspicion of accidental injury on the job.

In April last year, at a pig farm in Nasu-Shiobara City, Tochigi Prefecture, about 37,000 pigs were slaughtered after being confirmed to be infected with the infectious disease CSF = classical swine fever. An accident occurred in which an injection needle containing a slaughter drug that a veterinarian had was stuck in the leg of a male employee in the prefecture.

According to the prefecture, the male staff member was not killed, but he was forced to stay in the hospital for a long time due to rehabilitation, and the police were investigating the cause of the accident.

At that time, veterinarians and male staff were injecting drugs while holding down the piglet according to the manual, but according to investigators, the veterinarian was at hand when the piglet suddenly went wild in a subsequent police investigation. It turned out that he made a mistake and seemed to have stabbed an injection in the thigh of a male employee.

Police are suspicious of inadequate attention when injecting the drug, and will soon send a document to the veterinarian on suspicion of a corporate manslaughter.
