Turning the clock back to May 11, it was the second day that Xu (a pseudonym) came to the Guangzhou Municipal Relief Management Station.
Considering that Xu had just arrived in a new environment and was on guard, the staff did not rush to communicate, but paid more attention to Xu's emotional and physical condition. At the same time, starting with the expired ID card, they began to look for Xu's identity information.
During the days of receiving assistance, the staff of the rescue station worked with Xu every day to help her take a bath and wash up, and accompany her in rehabilitation exercises.
Xu gradually put down his defenses and told the staff about her experience.
"After graduating from college, I had a falling out with my parents and changed my mobile phone number. I left home in 2009, and I haven't contacted my parents and brother once in more than ten years. My mother may not be here anymore." Talking about his mother , Xu Mou burst into tears.

The rescue workers tried again and again, and finally contacted a social worker who knew Xu's family situation and obtained the contact information of Xu's father.
On the afternoon of May 20, the staff called Xu's father, and after the staff explained Xu's situation and confirmed Xu's identity, the old man's voice trembled and said, "It has been 13 years, we have been missing her, Worrying about her, I tried to find her in many ways, but nothing came of it."
After Xu's mood calmed down, he immediately said that he would come to Guangzhou to pick up his daughter as soon as possible, and made a request to the staff to see his daughter in a video.
At the critical moment, Xu retreated.
Under the comfort of the staff, Xu told the truth - "I ran away from home and I was very sorry for my family. I was worried that this situation would drag down the family even more." After a day and a night of driving, driving nearly 1,600 kilometers, on the morning of May 22, Xu's family arrived at the gate of the Guangzhou Municipal Rescue Management Station.
Considering Xu's inconvenience, the rescue station presented him with a wheelchair to help him walk, and sent Xu to the gate to be reunited with his family.
As soon as the door opened, Xu's mother caught up and took Xu's hand. Before she opened her mouth, she burst into tears.
