Ukrainian journalist Mykhaïlo Podolyak, who became an adviser to Volodymyr Zelensky following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, returned with Marc Perelman to the visit of German, French, Italian and Romanian leaders to kyiv and Irpin on Thursday 16 June.

He hailed this beautiful symbol of a united Europe behind Ukraine in the conflict with Russia, but urged the heads of state to deliver new heavy weapons, the key to a Ukrainian victory in the coming months.

Mykhaïlo Podolyak also commented on Emmanuel Macron's ambiguous position, particularly with regard to Vladimir Putin, with whom he wants to maintain dialogue.

If he understands the obligation of the French president towards his people, he recalls that the Russian president is responsible for war crimes in his country.

Maintaining the dialogue is necessary, but it is dangerous for Europe.
