The Minister of the World Trade Organization (WTO) announced that it had approved a significant number of texts concerning food insecurity created by Russia, but also the elimination of subsidies that facilitate overfishing and empty the oceans, as well as the lifting temporarily patents that protect anti-Covid-19 vaccines.

Sensitive subjects which gave rise to several days of intense negotiations, marked by many uncertainties and India's intransigence on several texts.

But in the end, the negotiators ended up agreeing on all these subjects, announced the President of the Ministerial Conference Timur Suleimenov, deputy chief of staff of the President of Kazakhstan.

It is “an unprecedented set of results.

It has been a long time since the WTO has achieved so many multilateral results.

The results demonstrate that the WTO is capable of responding to the emergencies of our time,” said WTO Director Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, addressing the heads of delegation of the organization's 164 member countries.

However, the WTO did not immediately publish the final texts.
