  • The Principality of Monaco will notably welcome Jean Reno, Jane Seymour, Danny Glover, JoeyStarr and Stéphane Plaza on this occasion.

The 61st edition of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival opens its doors this Friday until June 21.

Full of stars on the red carpet

After two years of health crisis, international stars are back at the Grimaldi Forum… Many icons of the small screen are expected on the red carpet, such as Neal McDonough (

Jean Reno will star in two dramas:

A Private Affair

, a Spanish detective comedy for Amazon Prime Video that takes place in Galicia in the 1940s, and in the adaptation of Marc Levy's bestseller,

Out of competition, the documentary

Souffles de vie

will highlight the issues of the impact of man on a marine environment as fragile as that of the Mediterranean, and on cetaceans in particular.

Full of crowned heads

Created in 1961 by Prince Rainier III, in homage to his wife Princess Grace, the festival is organized under the High Patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco.

The latter speaks at the opening and closing ceremony of the festival, and it is not uncommon for him to appear on the red carpet during a screening.

After several days of isolation due to Covid-19, Charlène of Monaco reappeared this Thursday alongside her husband Albert of Monaco, on the balcony of the prince's palace.

It is very likely that she will also make one or more appearances at the Grimaldi forum.
