At about 19:20 on June 16, a "tornado" occurred in Taiping Town, Conghua District, Guangzhou City, causing power outages in some areas, collapse of temporary scaffolding, damage to green trees and traffic jams, mainly involving Taiping Development Zone, Taiping Village, Taiping No casualties were found in the town along Jiangxi Road and other areas.
It can be seen from the video posted on the Internet that a system with spiral cirrus clouds appeared, rolling some debris into the sky.
The Guangzhou Meteorological Bureau confirmed on the evening of the 16th that a tornado occurred around 19:25 in Taiping Town, Conghua District, and the meteorological department is currently investigating the tornado weather.
At present, Taiping Town, Conghua District, is organizing power supply, public security, fire protection, emergency response, territorial villages and other forces to carry out emergency power repairs, road clearance, and traffic guidance.
