On June 15, local time, Swedish furniture company IKEA announced that the company would “further reduce” its operations in Russia and Belarus.

In a statement, IKEA said it would sell four factories in Russia, lay off workers and clear inventory.

In addition to this, IKEA will continue to stop importing and exporting products to Russia and Belarus, and two purchasing and logistics offices in Moscow and Minsk will be permanently closed.

Earlier in March, after the Russian-Ukrainian conflict broke out, IKEA had announced the suspension of its business in Russia and Belarus.
