  According to reports, at 4:35 on June 16, the Beihai Maritime Search and Rescue Center received an alarm: about 10 nautical miles from the sea to the southeast of Xieyang Island in the Beihai Sea, a cargo ship collided with an unnamed ship, causing the cargo ship to sink into the water and sink. .

Twelve people on board abandoned the ship and called for help.
