Rare are the artists from New Caledonia – this Pacific archipelago located 2,000 kilometers from the Australian coast and 16,000 kilometers from Paris – who manage to find a place for themselves in the international musical landscape.

With his resolutely spiritual and committed roots reggae, 31-year-old Marcus Gad has done it!

Meeting, in Paris, with an eternal traveler, a solar being, a unifying artist.

Since the success of his first album

Chanting

in 2017, Marcus Gad has been making people talk about him and his cutting-edge and daring productions.

Attached to a resolutely spiritual and committed roots reggae, the New Caledonian has brought it up to date to the point of offering it in his third and last opus,

Brave New World

, in collaboration with the Parisian beatmaker

Tamal,

an unprecedented electro fusion.

Eternal traveler (he has traveled extensively to Ethiopia, India and South America), Marcus Gad is driven by an insatiable thirst for learning (permaculture, community living methods) and is not easy to " to catch ".

But in this spring of 2022, the reggaeman is starting a European tour in Paris: the opportunity to dream of finally being able to meet him.

The appointment was set in the center of the capital, at the Maison de la Nouvelle-Calédonie, a showcase for this French overseas territory that we know so little about in France.

Marcus Gad is deeply attached to it and wishes to be

"a worthy spokesperson

".

His discography and his remarks attest to this: there is no shortage of arguments.
