The five elected members were presented at a press conference at the City Museum in Gothenburg on Wednesday morning.
Among the five, Lars Gullin and Brita Borg are elected posthumously.
Previously, musicians and artists such as ABBA, Roxette and Neneh Cherry have been selected.
The idea with the Swedish Music Hall of Fame is to draw attention to Swedish popular music.
Behind the initiative is the foundation Svenska Musikskattens Hus, which was founded in 2011. The requirement for everyone who is elected is that they must have made their record debut at least 20 years ago.
