Haruo Ozaki, chairman of the Tokyo Metropolitan Medical Association, said that the treatment of the new corona, which is currently "equivalent to class 2", under the Infectious Diseases Control Law, "it is time to get rid of it," and does not recommend hospitalization. He showed the idea that new measures should be taken.

At a regular meeting held in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo on the 14th, the chairman of the Tokyo Metropolitan Medical Association said, "If we continue to do so in July, the number of infected people will be less than 1000 every day. Although it is undeniable that the number of infections may increase in the future, increasing the proportion of people who have been vaccinated three times will reduce the number of infected people.

In addition, the new corona is currently treated as "class 2 equivalent" under the Infectious Diseases Control Law, and it is recommended to be hospitalized at a medical institution that has measures against infectious diseases, and if it does not comply, it will be forcibly hospitalized. It is stipulated that strong measures can be taken.

Regarding this, Chairman Ozaki said, "I think it's time to break away from the'equivalent to class 2'. I want you to have flexible discussions in various places."

On that basis, he expressed the idea that new measures should be taken without taking some of the strong measures stipulated in "equivalent to class 2", such as not making hospitalization recommendations.
