Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress saw a special exhibition held at the National Archives of Japan in line with the 50th anniversary of Okinawa's return to the mainland.

In this special exhibition, about 40 items, mainly official documents related to the return of Okinawa to the mainland, were exhibited, and Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress visited the venue after 6 pm on the 14th.

When I saw the diary that former Prime Minister Eisaku Sato, who worked on the return of Okinawa, kept it almost every day, His Majesty the Emperor said, "When and when do you have a diary?" It means that the person in charge of doing this was asked a question.

In addition, at the exhibition of the original promulgation of the Okinawa Reversion Agreement signed by the Japanese and US governments in June 1971, it is said that each article was carefully read.

After seeing the exhibition, His Majesty the Emperor said, "It's a very interesting and wonderful exhibition, and many people are coming to see it."

This special exhibition is being held at the National Archives of Japan in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo until the 19th of this month.
