A landslide near Steinau an der Straße in the Main-Kinzig district slowed down long-distance rail traffic on the Fulda - Hanau route on Tuesday.

Only one track is still available, Deutsche Bahn announced.

There are cancellations and delays.

According to Bahn, the trains between Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe and Frankfurt/Airport are canceled in both directions on the ICE connection Berlin - Frankfurt.

The ICE trains on the Wiesbaden - Dresden line do not run in either direction between Wiesbaden and Fulda.

The train said there were also disabilities on the Hamburg-Stuttgart ICE line.

According to the announcement, the impairments are expected to last until Tuesday evening.
