In the show "Bienfait pour vous", food columnist Margaux Grosman listed all the foods needed to have beautiful skin and maintain it well, especially before the big summer holidays.

It is necessary to consume products rich in beta carotene and zinc, and to remember to hydrate well.

It's not just carrots to take care of our skin while eating.

Eat orange-red fruits and vegetables

Margaux Gorsman first explains that "for the health and beauty of the skin, we need foods rich in zinc, essential fatty acids and antioxidants, including the famous beta carotene".

The latter "will guarantee us a pretty peach complexion", continues the columnist, who indicates that it is found "in orange-red fruits and vegetables such as carrots, sweet potatoes, mangoes, tomatoes, apricots, melons".

Some green vegetables can also do the trick, points out the food columnist.

These are the ones that contain beta carotene.

"Broccoli, spinach, lamb's lettuce, watercress", lists Margaux Grosman on Europe 1.

“Superfoods” also contain it, such as roukoum, a fruit tree whose seeds have 300 times more beta carotene than carrots.

"The good idea is to add a tablespoon in a liter and a half of water and drink it continuously during the day. It will hydrate us while preparing the skin for the sun."

Margaux Grosman also highlights klamath, "an algae often described as the most complete living food on the planet".

Finding Zinc-Rich Foods

Zinc "will fight against skin imperfections", details the columnist.

"It is found in particular in seafood, especially oysters, mussels and shrimp."

There are also foods that contain the right fatty acids, "such as omega 3, for example, which will affect the elasticity of the skin".

It is therefore necessary to favor on the plate fatty fish such as wild salmon, sardines, mackerel, without forgetting olive oil, avocado, organic eggs and dried fruits such as almonds and walnuts.

Water hydration to protect the skin from various aggressions

As for drinks, only one allows you to pay attention to the skin: it is water.

"It's the only main component of our skin," notes the columnist.

"Ideally, a liter and a half a day, flavored with ginger, cucumber, lemon or fruits and vegetables rich in beta carotene, why not. Hydration is the first rule to protect the skin attacks, whether cold, sun, wind or pollution", adds Margaux Grosman.
