Under bombardment ... "special permission" for a Ukrainian soldier to marry his girlfriend

A Ukrainian soldier managed to defy the conditions of war on his country, and went to his city on special permission to marry his lover.

Despite the continuation of the Russian bombing of the city of Kharkiv, Ukraine, the Ukrainian soldier Anton, who came from the front line to marry his beloved "Ira", did not hesitate.

Anton, who preferred not to reveal his surname, held a modest party with the participation of some relatives and friends.

As for planning for the future, it has become "impossible at the present time" because of the war, not only in Kharkiv, but throughout Ukraine, according to Anton.

But he added, "However, life goes on, and we also want to have children."

He continued, "We are not afraid, despite the continued missile attacks on the city. This situation cannot hinder us, and I am confident that we will win."

On the other hand, the 21-year-old bride, Ira, said that "the most important thing for us is the love between us" and considered that war is not an obstacle to starting a family.

Anton's childhood friend, Vyacheslav Shiraev, said he was very happy with his friend's marriage despite the battles continuing.

"Anton is married, but in a week he will return to the front and will continue his struggle for Ukraine," he added.

He explained that Anton has been on the front line since February 24, so his family and friends made preparations for the wedding.

Ira wore a wedding dress and posed for pictures with Anton in front of the city hall in Kharkiv, which was bombed by Russian forces in the first week of the war, and was badly damaged.

The newlyweds took pictures while the beeps of cars passing by from the street reverberated to celebrate their marriage in the shadow of the war.
