Registration for the global “Spark ER” hackathon, organized for the first time in the Middle East by Meta, in cooperation with the Artificial Intelligence Office, Programmers Headquarters, and the Museum of the Future, has entered its last week, as entries will close next Friday.

The Spark ER hackathon is organized under the slogan “The Future is Now.. Exploring the Next Decade.”

This contributes to creating a brighter future for future generations, and achieves the strategic objectives of the Museum of the Future, which includes advanced laboratories for future innovations in all development areas related to the challenges facing societies.

The door of the challenge is open to content creators and programmers to share their creativity and innovations related to the future, through augmented reality and competition to reach the best images and future patterns in various vital fields and sectors by making use of modern technology for the benefit of humanity.

Two main tracks of the Spark ER challenge were identified: the first focuses on the effects of augmented reality in the field of the future of transportation, in cooperation with Emirates Airlines, and the second is related to the “future of work,” in cooperation with Accenture Technology Services.

The winners of the competition will have a license to use their winning creations on the official social media accounts of Emirates Airlines and Accenture. Participants will also have the opportunity to win prizes totaling more than $50,000 to the winners, in addition to what Meta will provide from Workshops to hone the skills of the participants in cooperation with the best developers of augmented reality technology in the world.

The challenge will be launched over a period of two weeks from the 17th of this month to the first of next July, and the names of the winners of the two tracks will be announced on the seventh of July.

Organizing the Spark ER Global Challenge in the Middle East for the first time comes to support efforts to empower programmers with a set of digital skills, and train them to use programming languages ​​in line with national efforts to empower programmers and support their participation in the digital transformation process in the UAE.
