A hiker in Austria apparently fell while taking a selfie and died in an accident.
The Tyrolean police owe the fact that the body was found almost eight months after the accident to the brother of the 57-year-old Austrian, as they reported.
Because the hiker disappeared without a trace after the missing person was reported in October, his brother went looking for himself in the Lechtal Alps, as the police reported.
According to the information, he discovered his brother's camera on Saturday in the area of the "Mittlerer Kreuzjoch".
"After evaluating the photo from the camera, the casualty may have taken a photo with a self-timer and fell about 100 meters over steep, rocky terrain," the police said.
The alarmed security forces found the body and were able to salvage it by rope and helicopter.
