A legacy to be exploited

Released in 2021,

Ghostbusters: The Legacy

gave a boost to the franchise of the 1980s, opening the door to a new exploitation of the ectoplasmic universe while honoring the first two films that had marked an entire generation.

In addition to the return of the original cast, which included Bill Murray and Sigourney Weaver, the production was entrusted to Jason Reitman, who is none other than the son of Ivan Reitman, the director of the first

Ghostbusters

in 1984, who died in February.

And the arrival of this new series is the first step in a new wave of franchise exploitation for years to come.

A new movie is in the works, as confirmed by Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan to
