Germany: the success of the nine-euro train ticket

The enthusiasm for the train ticket offer at 9 euros remains exceptional.

It was initially a political measure among others to reduce the consequences for the Germans of rising energy prices.

It is meanwhile a real social phenomenon: since the beginning of the month and until the end of August, a monthly banknote for nine euros has been introduced.

It allows users to take public transport in all cities of the country and to travel without restriction on regional lines.

The ticket sold like hotcakes.
