Ikea is recalling Metallisk stainless steel espresso makers due to a risk of explosion.
This product has been marketed since October 2019 throughout France and in all the stores of the Swedish brand, indicates the sheet published by the dedicated site Rappel Conso.
The batches affected are between 2040 and 2204.

“A risk of bursting”
“The affected items have a stainless steel valve (silver gray in color) and the batch number is engraved on the bottom of the coffee maker,” the document states.
This coffee maker would present “a risk of bursting during use” which could cause “external injuries” and “internal damage”.
People who have purchased this product are therefore invited to stop using it and to return it to the point of sale for a refund.
