  Author Li Jiaoyang

At 5:00 pm on June 8, with the end of the final exam bell, the 2022 college entrance examination in Guangxi came to an end.

As a member of the traffic police iron cavalry team, Liu Hua, a policeman from the Mobile Brigade of the Traffic Police Detachment of the Liuzhou City Public Security Bureau of Guangxi, also ended his task of sending and guarding the college entrance examination this year.

"For our iron cavalry team, the most stressful time is the one hour before the test, which is the most prone to situations." Liu Hua said.

Since 2010, he has participated in the college entrance examination nursing cavalry team every year, and has been in the examination room for three consecutive years.

In this year's nursing test, Liu Hua once again encountered the help of candidates and parents.

At around 8:10 a.m. on June 7, Liu Hua, who was on standby at the entrance of the Liuzhou No. 6 Middle School test center, met an anxious candidate and his parents.

Liu Hua only found out when he asked that the candidate left the stationery bag containing the documents and stationery at home.

It took nearly 35 minutes for parents and candidates to ride two-wheeled electric bikes that morning from the test room to the candidates' homes.

At this time, there are less than 20 minutes left for candidates to enter the examination room.

Facing the uneasy candidates, Liu Hua comforted her and said, "Don't worry, I'll take your parents home to help you pick them up, you can just wait here in peace."

It was the morning rush hour, and some roads in the urban area were already congested. Liu Hua mounted police officers on motorcycles to drive the parents of the candidates all the way through the streets and alleys. The 20-kilometer round-trip journey reached a maximum speed of 80 kilometers per hour and an average speed of 55 kilometers per hour. , in the end it took only 22 minutes.

When Liu Hua and the candidates' parents returned to the examination room and handed the stationery bags to the candidates, it was only a few minutes before the candidates began to enter the examination room.

"Fortunately, I didn't delay her." Liu Hua also breathed a sigh of relief.

As a veteran traffic police cavalry member, Liu Hua's excellent driving skills played a key role at this time.

"In addition to being familiar with the roads in the whole city, we must have excellent driving skills. During the morning rush hour, the traffic flow is very heavy. In order to grab time, sometimes we have to cross the narrow road between two cars. Accidents are prone to occur without our driving skills, which is a test of our basic skills." Liu Hua said.

The college entrance examination and nursing examination of the traffic police's iron cavalry will take no more than one hour of rest from 6 am to 8 pm.

Liu Hua introduced: "You have to get up at 6 o'clock, first go to the unit to change into the cycling clothes, arrive at the departure point before 7:10, and go to the test center at 7:30. After the morning test, escort the candidates back to the test center. In school, after a 40-minute break in school, we are ready to start the afternoon test, and it is almost 8 o'clock when we get home in the evening."

On June 7, a candidate forgot his documents and stationery. Liu Hua, a policeman from the Liuzhou Traffic Police Mobile Brigade, drove the candidate's parents on a police motorcycle and flew on the road.

Respondents provided

Although it was hard to take the nursing test, Liu Hua's experience was more gratifying.

Liu Hua has seen many times when candidates who have forgotten their documents are embracing and crying with their parents when they get the documents sent by the iron cavalry.

Looking back on his 13 college entrance exam submission and nursing experiences, what impressed him the most was the help from the parents of a candidate who abandoned the exam.

"On the second day of the college entrance examination in 2015, before the test in the morning, a parent came to us for help. His child thought that the first two subjects did not pass well, and that it was of little significance to continue the test in the latter two subjects, so he had the idea of giving up. I would like to come to take the next exam, and the parents hope that we can help and persuade." Liu Hua recalled.

Liu Hua went to the examinee's house with his parents, and when he saw the examinee who was still reluctant to return to the examination room, he said to the examinee in a calm tone: "If the latter two subjects are performed well, they may be able to get one, even if they fail to perform well. Well, it’s better than wasting this morning. Even if you don’t pass the exam this year, it can be regarded as accumulating experience. Since you have worked hard for so many years, why don’t you take this exam?” After persuasion, Liu Hua finally persuaded the candidates, and in the Send it to the test center before the test begins.

In the past three years, Liu Hua has encountered unexpected situations of candidates during the nursing examination every year.

It is not new in Liu Hua's eyes that candidates find missing documents or forgetting stationery when they arrive at the test center. He can also understand that most candidates are experiencing the big test in their lives for the first time, and they are prone to mistakes in a highly nervous state of mind.

"In the whole process of the college entrance examination, what we do is to serve and guarantee the work. Years of experience allow us to give candidates and parents some comfort and help on the spot. We also hope that candidates can successfully complete this important examination. ."

"Even if there are no candidates and parents for help, as long as our cavalry team sees us in the examination room, it can give candidates a stable mentality." Liu Hua said.
