Recently, the Longzao Border Police Station of the Dehong Border Management Detachment in Yunnan successfully rescued a national first-class protected animal, a hummingbird.

On the same day, Mr. Duan, a villager in the area under its jurisdiction, called the police, saying that a "wild monkey" had appeared in his backyard and requested to be dealt with.

After receiving the call, the police immediately went to the scene.

Mr. Duan said that he heard an abnormal noise in the backyard at that time, and finally found the monkey in the corner of the wall. In order not to hurt and frighten it, he put it in a cage.

After preliminary observation, the police found that it was still a baby monkey, but there was no obvious sign of injury, so they took it back to the police room to take care of it and fed it with fruit.

At present, the little humming monkey has been handed over to the local wildlife protection department, and the next step will be to conduct comprehensive health monitoring and release it into nature when conditions are met for release into the wild.
