A teacher at the University of Bordeaux has been dismissed from his post on suspicion of sexual harassment.

It was a student who gave the alert on the behavior of the latter.

The presidency of the university confirms in a press release that it has "suspended from his duties a temporary lecturer in law on May 2 and initiated a referral procedure to the Public Prosecutor".

The university explains that it was "alert at the end of April about the behavior of this temporary teacher, via the Monitoring Unit against harassment and sexist and sexual violence".

And confirms that this contractor had already been the subject of reports in other universities.

No investigation opened according to the prosecution

Also according to this press release, the student would not have "wanted to file a complaint, so that this procedure does not disrupt her exam period".
