On June 9, Xiaoxin (pseudonym), a 438-gram "palm baby" in Guangzhou, was discharged from the hospital safely.

After 105 days of care, she grew from 438 grams at birth to 2690 grams.

According to Wu Fan, chief physician of the Department of Neonatology at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University, the baby is the lowest-weight premature baby that has been successfully treated in Guangzhou.

On February 24, a pair of twin babies with a gestational age of only 26 weeks came into the world.

At birth, sister Xiao Tian (pseudonym) weighed 890 grams, while younger sister Xiao Xin (pseudonym) weighed only 438 grams, which looked smaller than an adult's palm, and her arm was much thinner than an adult's little finger.

After the little sisters were born, they were transferred to the NICU of the neonatal department as quickly as possible for continued treatment.

Under the treatment of the medical team, the sisters were discharged from the hospital one after another.

On June 9, Xiaoxin, who had been hospitalized for 105 days, was discharged.

Experts said that the sisters still need professional and scientific follow-up management in the child growth and development specialist in the future.
