1. A kitty for Nino

At 39, Nino has lost everything – family life, home, job – due to the coronavirus crisis.

Since November, he shared with a galley companion, an ephemeral terrace of a Parisian restaurant.

There they had set up a makeshift cabin.

But a week ago, the fire that broke out in rue Hippolyte-Lebas got the better of their shelter.

Their tents and half of their belongings went up in smoke.

Since then, Nino and Stéphane wander during the day and sleep at night in front of a church.

To help them overcome this new ordeal, Sans A_, the media that is committed to making the invisible visible, is launching a kitty in their favor and calling for the support of the community.

With 5,000 euros collected, the association could offer accommodation for several months to Nino, Stéphane and Carla, Stéphane's dog.

2. Voices in the Marseille night

“We don't talk about it enough, the night is extinguished when it is used to decompress, to find ourselves, to share, to have fun, to many things.

Without forgetting that it is an important part of the economy,” explains Nicolas Debru.

Through

Without the Night,

a web series of 20 episodes of two to three minutes, the director gave the floor to many actors of the Marseille nightlife such as FAZE, Faf Larage, Ludovic Turacou René Malleville through three questions: How do you find the night today? today?

How was the night before?

And how do you see tomorrow night?

The 20 episodes, broadcast on Youtube and Facebook, every day since Monday, have given us a terrible desire to go out at night in a unique project in France, and as Nicolas Debru hopes, will undoubtedly be emulated in other cities.

3. Analog Sport wants to win film at the Games

“We have three years to convince the organizers of the Paris Olympics to accredit our young people, for whom it would really be a dream to be as close as possible to the athletes”, summarizes Quentin Eveno.

With his association Analog Sport, he works for the social and professional integration of young people from priority neighborhoods through sports photography.

It trains young students (six in 2020, 11 this year) for free in film, while sending them to cover sporting events.

“When I see how all the major competitions communicate on the notion of

legacy

[legacy], I tell myself that it would still be something if these Olympics could launch the start of a career as a photographer for these young people.

4. Company cars for job seekers

They have been sleeping in the garage for several months, put away due to telework.

Several Brittany Regional Council company cars unused due to the crisis have returned to service.

At the wheel, job seekers who, thanks to these vehicles, can get jobs which they could not previously claim for lack of means of transport.

A simple and effective initiative that could inspire other institutions...

5. Maxi size aquaponics

For two years, the start-up Les Nouvelles Fermes has been working to create one of the largest aquaponic farms in Europe, on an area of 5,000 m2 in Mérignac in the suburbs of Bordeaux.

The idea of aquaponics is to use fish droppings to feed plants.

The main advantage of this system is a saving in land, of course, but also in water.

"We make 50 kg of fresh produce a day, and we consume the equivalent of an average family in water, ten times less than a traditional farm," explains the company's president, Thomas Boisserie.

A social and solidarity economy (ESS) company, Les Nouvelles Fermes plans to invest 1.2 million euros in the project, financed by a regional investment fund, business angels, and bank loans.

The fundraising carried out by the start-up must also allow investments in research and development.

6. The mask that marks

The market for sports masks is expected to explode with the resumption of indoor activities.

Several large groups have released their own, but it is those of the Kombai company created ten years ago by two brothers, Guénaël and Lénaïc Luöng Marìn, that we are interested in this week.

With their Ibzac brand, the Girondins offer mask customization via sublimation.

Enough to wear the colors of his club without giving up anything on the ground of protection.

Certified UNS 1 (masks for non-sanitary use in category 1), this sports mask “takes up the characteristics of our barrier mask, which already had excellent performance in terms of protection”, explains Guénaël Luöng Marìn.

For the moment, the company based in Artigues-près-Bordeaux, remains in the starting blocks before embarking on large-scale production.

That is to say as soon as a date will be officially announced for the resumption of indoor sports activities.

7. Wine merchants fight back

Their treasure hunt took beer lovers from bar to bar to discover the northern heritage.

The crisis has forced Echappée Bière, a Lille structure specializing in events around the famous drink, to review its plans.

“The year is complicated for events (…) We started from the observation that wine merchants had remained open.

And we thought about launching an autonomous treasure hunt that goes from wine merchant to wine merchant as the puzzles arise, ”says Emilien Marcot, communication manager at Echappée Bière.

To secure its investments, l'Echappée Bière has set up crowdfunding for pre-orders.

For 40 euros, you can get your treasure hunt at the beginning of May.

The investigation can be swallowed in two hours or several days because the puzzles are separated, which we advise you.
