The Peace Memorial Statue in the Okinawa Peace Memorial Hall in Mabuni, Itoman City is a 12-meter-high statue built in 1978 to commemorate the victims of the Battle of Okinawa and wish for peace.



Every year, before "Okinawa Memorial Day", the work of "purification" to clean the peace statue is carried out, and on the 9th, eight people including the managing staff participated.



Participants used a ladder to climb onto the statue and wipe the dust off with a cloth, checking for scratches on the surface.
