Duck merguez sold throughout France are currently subject to a recall for suspected salmonella.

It is a Les Thomasines brand product, reports Rappel Conso.

These pure duck merguez, vacuum-packed, were marketed between May 30 and June 8, 2022 at Auchan, Carrefour Market, Hyper U, Super U and Leclerc.

The batch concerned is 22150303 with the barcode 3700518702751. The expiry date is between June 12 and 14, 2022.

Gastrointestinal disorders to watch out for

Due to the risk involved, it is strongly recommended not to consume this product.

"Food poisoning caused by salmonella results in gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhea, vomiting) of sudden onset often accompanied by fever and headaches which generally occur 6 to 72 hours after consumption of the contaminated products", specifies Reminder Conso.

Young children, pregnant women, immunocompromised people and the elderly should be especially alert to these symptoms.
