Egypt.. Referral of papers accused of putting drugs in bags for pilgrims to the Mufti

An Egyptian court issued a decision to refer the papers of the third and main accused of the six accused in the case of placing narcotic substances in the bags of 3 pilgrims in the Eastern Province to the Mufti.

The details of the incident date back to 2019, when the security services of the Sharkia Security Directorate received a notification stating that a report had been received from: Sabah Attia, 70, Fayqa Abdel Aziz, 63, and Nabawia Abdel Aziz, 60, accusing a number of people of planting the amount of narcotics. They have them in their travel bags to perform Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

It turned out that the accused had formed a gang whose purpose was to export the narcotics in question, by placing the narcotic substances in the bags of the three victims, and by submitting to the investigation authorities, they decided to refer the case’s papers to the Zagazig Criminal Court, according to “Cairo 24.”
