Saudi Arabia .. "Trade" raids a facility that cheats on chicken weights (video)

The supervisory teams of the Saudi Ministry of Commerce, in cooperation with the Eastern Province Police, raided a violating commercial facility that cheated on poultry weights.

The ministry published, on its Twitter account, a video clip documenting the raid, and what was seized in the violating facility.

According to the ministry, 1,700 ready-to-sell chicken plates, 1,900 stickers for different brands, and 3 machines used to cheat weights were seized.

It pointed out that the owner of the facility was summoned to apply the legal procedures against him for violating the anti-commercial fraud system.

The ministry affirmed its keenness and interest in protecting consumers and applying legal penalties to those involved in violating the anti-commercial fraud system, as the system provides for penalties of up to 3 years in prison, fines of up to one million riyals or both, defamation of violators and the deportation of violating workers.

It also urges consumers to submit their reports about violating facilities through the application of a "commercial report" or through the communications center at 1900 or the official website of the ministry on the Internet.
