Municipal agents of the city of Lyon were on strike on Tuesday.
They denounce the delay in the recruitment of staff while 500 positions are still vacant.
In order to speed up the process, the strikers set up a hiring stand in front of the town hall.

The municipal agents of Ville de Lyon, on strike this Tuesday, organized a real job-dating in order to compensate for the lack of staff, even creating a QR code so that candidates can send CV and cover letter by email.
"The city can't recruit so we do it for them," exasperated Sébastien Douillet, general secretary of the CGT.
At the beginning of the year the municipality had released an envelope of 7 million euros but the head of the CGT denounces its use: "It is the department heads who have benefited from it, the small hands behind have had almost nothing" .

500 vacancies since 2021
“In all sectors of the public service, in the administration, in the municipal police, among the maintenance workers, absolutely everywhere, we are missing people”, explains Sébastien Douillet.
A lack which, according to him, is not new: "In 2021, every day there were 500 free positions".
According to the person concerned, the city is sorely lacking in attractiveness.
“In category C, the agent will spend 13 years paid at minimum wage without any possible increase.
And in Lyon, we do not live properly with a minimum wage, ”he underlines.
At the end of the day, the CGT agents will collect all the applications received and will request an appointment with the mayor in order to submit them.
