Elliot Page forced to wear a dress for the premiere of "Juno"?

Elliot Page claims he was forced by the studios to wear a dress when

premiered in 2007 at the Toronto International Film Festival.

"I said I wanted to wear a suit, but Fox Searchlight said, 'No, you have to wear a dress.'

And they rushed me to one of those fancy shops on Bloor Street,” the actor, who came out as trans in 2020, recalled in an interview with Esquire.

A bitter memory

“They made me wear a dress, and…and it came out like this.

So after there was all the

promo , the photo shoots – Michael Cera was in casual clothes and sneakers,” Elliot Page continued, adding that in Canada where he is from, the attention worn in outfits has nothing to do with what is happening in Hollywood.

Anyway, Elliot Page assures that this episode prevented him from taking full advantage of the success of this film which had propelled his career.
