A historian from Royat (Puy-de-Dôme) wished to pay tribute to Elisabeth II on the occasion of the platinum jubilee of the British sovereign, celebrated from this Thursday to this Sunday.

The 39-year-old specialist has put the forms in and sent a handwritten letter to the queen's mail service, says France 3 Auvergne Rhône-Alpes.

He is now waiting for an answer.

The Auvergnat knows that Elisabeth II will not read his letter.

"It doesn't matter, the idea was to send something to highlight his archives," he explained.

However, he wishes to have confirmation that his missive has been sent to Buckingham Palace in London (United Kingdom).

Your sense of duty and your unwavering devotion to the crown honor you and command respect.

[…] Your Majesty, enter the legend and join the restricted circle of those who are said to have made history
